What a private practice
website costs

What’s included for
$7,500

A West Aubrey website starts at $7,500. You pay it in two steps: $2,500 for discovery, then $5,000 for the build. That covers everything from the first research session through launch and the weeks of setup after — plus your first full year of hosting and care.

Here’s why it’s priced the way it is. This isn’t a template you finish yourself or a monthly plan you rent forever. It’s the whole thing, built once, properly, and then it’s yours. Most practices spend more than this over two years renting a site they’ll never own, with content shared across a hundred other clinics. You spend it once, and you own something built only for you.

And the year after launch is already covered. Every build includes twelve months of Full Care, my $179-a-month plan: your site stays updated, backed up, secure, and accessible, and when you need a change made, you email me and I make it. That’s over $2,100 of care built into the price. Your site’s first year is handled, not handed off.

You’ll always know what you’re paying. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons, no charging you for things that should be included. The price is the price, which is the whole point of putting it right here.

Strategy and research

The plan your whole site is built on. Before anything gets built, I learn your practice, your families, and your market.

  • Discovery session
  • Audience and competitor research
  • Site strategy and structure
  • Keyword and AI-search plan
A website built for your practice

Designed around the families you serve, and written for them too. Accessible from the first line of code, not as an add-on.

  • Design shaped to your practice
  • Copy written for you
  • Mobile-first and easy to use
  • Accessible to everyone, by default
Built to be found

A beautiful site is wasted if the right family never sees it. So I build yours to be found, by search and by AI.

  • Found on Google and AI search
  • Structured content and FAQs
  • Your area named, so local families find you
  • Fast, secure pages
Privacy-aware intake

When a parent fills out your form, they hand over private information about their child. I build yours so that never sits on your website.

  • Forms that keep health info off your site
  • HIPAA-compliant for US practices
  • Provincial privacy rules for Canadian ones
  • Set up and embedded for you
Green hosting, and a real handoff

Your site runs on renewable hosting, and when the build is done, I don’t disappear.

  • Renewable green hosting
  • Shown how to use your site
  • You own it outright
  • I’m still your person
Your First Year of Care

Every build includes twelve months of Full Care after launch: hosting, monthly updates and backups, security monitoring, quarterly accessibility checks, and up to 45 minutes of my time on changes each month. You email me, I make the change. Year one is handled.

What it pays back

A website is the rare expense that’s supposed to make you money, not just cost you. So the real question isn’t whether $7,500 is a lot. It’s what it brings back.

Here’s the simple version. A private-pay client is worth far more than a single session. They stay, they come back, they refer other families. So a site that brings you even one new client a month pays for itself inside the first year. After that it keeps working, the cost is behind you, and the clients aren’t.

There’s also a year of care already inside the price. Every build includes twelve months of Full Care, the $179-a-month plan where I keep your site updated, secure, and accessible, and make your changes for you. That’s over $2,100 of upkeep you’re not paying on top of anything.

Compare that to renting one. A subscription site runs a few hundred dollars a month for a site you never own, and the moment you stop paying, the whole thing disappears. By year two you’ve often paid more than this costs and have nothing to keep. A West Aubrey site works the other way. You pay for it once, and it’s yours. What continues after that is upkeep, keeping it running, secure, and cared for, which costs far less and goes toward something you own.

That’s the real difference. It isn’t monthly versus one-time. It’s renting forever versus owning what you paid for.

I keep your site running, and I stay your person

Once your site is live, it needs looking after, the way any working site does. This is upkeep on something you own, not rent on something you don’t. That’s the whole difference.

Your site stays on my hosting, because that’s what lets me be your person. When something needs fixing or you want a change made, I can just do it, because I’m the one running the ground it sits on. Hand your site to a hosting company you’ve never met and you’re back to support tickets and “have you tried turning it off and on.” With me, you’ve got someone who knows your site and can actually act on it.

It’s green hosting too, on purpose. It runs on renewable energy, three times over, with a tree planted for it. I also offset the carbon from the AI I use to build your site, drive an electric car, and work from a solar-powered studio. That’s just how I work.

Your first year of hosting and care is included in your build, at the Full Care level, so year one comes with my hands on it, not just hosting. When it ends, every site on West Aubrey hosting stays on Foundation at minimum, so nothing you paid for is ever left unwatched. The care plans above it are optional, always. Most practices stay for years, because once you’ve got a person who handles all of it, you don’t want to go back to doing it yourself.

Foundation

$59/month

The floor every site stands on. Your site stays online, updated, backed up, secure, and legally current. What it doesn’t include is my time on changes — those are quoted per request.

  • Green hosting, powered by renewable energy
  • WordPress, theme, and plugin updates applied and tested every month
  • Monthly backup, confirmed each time — never assumed
  • Security monitoring and firewall, reviewed monthly
  • Privacy policy, terms, and cookie policy that update themselves as privacy laws change
  • Changes, fixes, and new content quoted per request

Full Care

$179/month

For a practice that wants a person, not a vendor. Everything in Foundation, plus the hands-on work that keeps your site accurate and accessible. You email me, I make the change.

  • Everything in Foundation
  • Up to 45 minutes of updates monthly: text edits, new photos, changed hours, staff bios
  • Quarterly accessibility check with fixes — your site stays at WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Your accessibility statement kept current, with a fresh review date
  • A monthly report in plain language: what I updated, what I backed up, what I blocked
  • Priority email support, answered within one business day

Care + Findability

$329/month

Everything in Full Care, plus the quarterly work that keeps parents and AI finding you. This is the plan for a practice that treats its website as a working asset.

  • Everything in Full Care
  • Up to 2 hours of updates monthly
  • Quarterly findability audit: your structured data, Google Business Profile, and Search Console, checked and corrected
  • Live searches run from your own city each quarter, screenshots included — proof, not promises
  • A short quarterly memo with specific next steps: what to improve on your Google profile, where to earn listings and links, what to write about next
  • An annual strategy call

Rather manage it yourself? That works too. You own everything, so if you’d rather handle hosting, updates, and security your own way, I’ll help you move to your own hosting cleanly, with a full backup in hand. The one thing I can’t do is leave an unmaintained site on the same servers as my other clients’ sites.

Pricing questions

How much does a website for a private practice cost?

A West Aubrey website starts at $7,500, paid in two steps: $2,500 for discovery, then $5,000 for the build. That covers everything from research through launch and setup. Your first year of hosting and care is included. After that, a care plan starts at $75 a month to keep your site running.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. The build is split in two to begin with: $2,500 for discovery and strategy, then $5,000 when the build starts. If you’d like to spread it further, I can set up a payment plan, and options like Klarna are available too. Just ask, and we’ll find something that works for your practice.

Is a care plan required, and what happens after my first year?

No. The care plans are optional. Your first year of hosting and care is included in your build, so there’s nothing to decide until year two. When it ends, the only requirement is Foundation, the $59 monthly floor that keeps any site on West Aubrey hosting updated, backed up, and secure — because an unmaintained site puts every site beside it at risk. If you’d rather manage everything yourself, I’ll help you migrate to your own hosting instead.

Are there any other costs?

Usually just one, and I’ll always name it up front. If your intake forms collect health information, you’ll need a compliant form service to handle that data safely — around $18 a month, on your own subscription, so it’s never wrapped into the build price. That’s true for US and Canadian practices alike.

Everything else is already covered. Keeping your privacy policy, terms, and cookie policy current as laws change is part of your care plan, and so are hosting, updates, and backups. Apart from the form service, there are no surprise costs.

Is a subscription website service like Brighter Vision worth it?

For some practices, yes. Brighter Vision is a solid, established service, and if you want something simple and low-cost to start, it does the job. The trade-off is that you rent the site rather than own it, and the content is shared across many practices. Over a few years the monthly cost adds up past what a site like this costs, and you’ve nothing to keep at the end. Different practices, different fits.

What if I only need one page?

One page can work. One of my own client sites is a single page, and it ranks well, because it was built with real strategy behind it. Here’s the honest part though: my pricing doesn’t really change for a smaller site. The cost is in the strategy, research, and writing that make it get found, not in the number of pages. So a one-page site costs about the same as a larger one. If that math makes sense for you, let’s talk. If you just want something cheap to exist, a template builder will serve you better.

Do you run ads or manage social media?

No, and I’ll be straight about why: those are different jobs, done well by different people. I build and look after websites, and that’s where I’m genuinely good. What I do is make sure the site itself brings the right families to you, through search and AI. If you do need ads or social help, I can often point you to someone good in my network.

How much of my time will this take?

Less than you’d expect. The real work is yours up front, in discovery, where you tell me about your practice and the families you serve. After that I lead the build and come to you only at set points for input and sign-off. You won’t be art-directing or learning web design. That’s the part you’re handing off.

How do I get started?

It starts with a free look at what families find when they search for your practice today. No payment, no commitment. If it’s a fit, we book a discovery session, that’s where the build begins and the first invoice comes in. You’ll know exactly what you’re paying for before you pay anything.

The right ones are searching for exactly what you do.
